About the Local History Collection
The Local History Collection includes books, pamphlets, maps, obituaries, clippings and brochures of local historical interest. Although the focus of this collection is the Comstock and Kalamazoo County Area, the library collects some historical materials on other towns in the state of Michigan. These materials are available for on-site use by any patron or researcher looking for information about the community or searching for ancestors who lived locally.

For assistance and with the Local History Room, please ask at the Library's Reference Desk or call (269) 345-0136 for information. You may also submit your local history question online. Most materials in this collection are searchable in the Library's online catalog.

Contact greg@comstocklibrary.org if you have any questions.
