Adult Computer Policy
The library is Wi-Fi accessible.
The library has Internet computers which run Windows 7 operating system. These computers are available for our patrons and provide free access to the Internet, Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Publisher 2010, Microsoft Excel 2010, and Microsoft Powerpoint 2010. Printing costs are free for the first 5 copies, and .05 cents a copy for each additional copy. There is a 30 minute time limit on computer use, however if no one is waiting, patrons may stay on for an additional 30 minutes.
Computers in the Adult Department may only be used by patrons 18 years and older, unless a parent is sitting at the same computer as the child. Adults are required to fill out a registration form agreeing to our Internet Policies and be signed in by the Reference staff each time they wish to use the computer. We require a library card to sign on our computers. If you do not have a library card please, please visit the circulation or reference desk.
The Internet computers in the Young People's Department are filtered and a parental permission slip must be filled out 1 time for students under 18 to use the Internet. Permission slips may not be signed by anyone other than the child's parent or legal guardian. The permission slip is then kept on file.
